Reagan Time Cover 2004

When former President Ronald Reagan died in 2004 at the age of 93, he had been out of the public eye for ten years due to what Nancy called "the long good bye" of Alzheimer's Disease. After his funeral service at the National Cathedral in DC, the Air Force plane that carried his coffin from Washington, DC to California flew directly over the town of Dixon, Illinois in a tribute to Reagan's home town and his Illinois roots including his years at Eureka College. Former First Lady Nancy Davis Reagan also spent years in a private school in Illinois after she was adopted by Chicago surgeon Dr. Loyal Davis, the second husband of Nancy's mother.
