Susan Annunzio of Chicago was the daughter of Congressman and Mrs. Frank Annunzio. Unfortunately for Susan's class the Cherry Blossom Festival was tragically cut short due to civil disorder in Washington following the assassination of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4, 1968.
